Shikai Color Reflect Hairspray

So, I have started using the Shikai Color Reflect hairspray. I don’t care about the color saving part, I just want the hold to work better. It’s difficult to use because it’s not a consistent spray, but a pump. If you somehow spray too much, you get these weird spots like water drops dried in your hair. It literally looks like frozen rain. The hold is good and firm, but too stiff. Not bad for the price, but I’m not sure I’ll buy it again.

Where I got it: Central Market.  What it cost: about $8.

Expensive Mess

Aveda Air Control Hairspray
Dear Aveda, Air Control used to be my favorite hairspray. I love the flexible hold and the smell is marvelous. This is my third one in almost as many months. There is a major design flaw with this container. I used it every day for about a month (barely more than a fourth of it is gone) and the nozzle becomes a gummy mess. I’ve tried warm water soaks, sticking pins in the nozzle, pleading with it. Nothing works. The End.
Where I got it: Bradz. What it cost: Too much.
